SNowblower module handles wider than area being cleared causes a bit of an issue

With the module’s handles sticking out beyond the area being cleared, they will ‘dig in’ on the snowbanks that are as high as where the handles are. My Yarbo (Swiper) keeps hooking the handles into the snow bank, sometimes eventually correcting himself, and other times saying a collision occurs. The ‘offset’ doesn’t really help, as the bank builds up from where the module clears. (Our snow banks have gotten to 4.5-5 feet tall)

Have you tried using a sidewalk along the outer edge of the boundary to cleanup after running a plan? You can do a couple of them side by side and run the outer one until you can’t and then move to an inner one. You can also try and knock down the edges where the bumper is hitting or will hit periodically.

Sorry to hear about this issue — that sounds frustrating, especially with snowbanks that high.

As a temporary workaround, you could try increasing the Reduce Boundary setting. This will create a bit more clearance from the edges, which may help prevent the handles from catching on the snowbanks.

I have the same problem. How do you reduce the boundry?

increase the safety buffer under the area settings.

Got it. I found it. Thanks Bryan. Nice feature

I had to get the greenworks and/or mega Yarbo out a couple times to help trim stuff back:sweat_smile:, kick the tops off some banks or some manual driving
