Under Map Settings > Select Background - Allow the user to Zoom the Yard Map as Appropriate

I have experienced an issue attempting to add a Google Maps background. When I Enter My Yard, I see my complete yard map. When I hit the three dots for Map Settings, then Select Background, instead of being presented with a complete view of the yard map, I see the map zoomed in on a small pathway leading to another area. There is no way to change the view.

While I can stretch, pinch and roll the yard map to get a suitable viewing window showing the full yard map, once I tap the “+” to add a background, the window reverts to a zoomed in view of that pathway. I am not sure whether my yard map is too long, which may not have been anticipated by the app designers. Anyway, the app uses a fixed view of the Yard Map that cannot be changed.

My suggestion for the map background setting is to allow the user to stretch, pinch and roll the yard map to get a suitable viewing window to show the full yard map as a first step, and then allow the app to retain those window dimensions to carry over when the user taps the “+” sign to add a background at the second step to provide additional app flexibility for various sizes of Yard Maps (particularly larger maps).

During the second step, the user can stretch, pinch and rotate the Google Map to best fit the Yard Map view from the first step.

Currently the software uses a fixed view of the Yard Map that cannot be changed.
