It’s very annoying in the app when doing something and then the app changes the current zoom. I’ve been using the “center and zoom” button to zoom in on my yarbo when I need to manually drive it (after a track slip event, for example), and having it change the zoom when I close the control panel is super annoying. I would prefer it to NOT change the zoom so much, if at all. maybe a button instead?

Yep. Brought this up months ago, it was acknowledged yet still no improvement.
