Web App/Portal

It would be cool to have a web app/portal to manage the Yarbo. Basically do the same remote functions as the app. It would be understandable if some of the features like mapping wouldn’t be in the web app/portal, but to be able to control it from my work PC would be a good bonus.

I like this idea but they need some form of Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) for Yarbo accounts and the app enabled first.

Thank you for your suggestion! We have received similar requests before and, after careful consideration, we’ve decided not to develop a web portal at this time due to limited development resources and safety concerns. We’re sorry we can’t provide this feature at the moment. However, we’ve kept it on our request list and will reconsider it when we have more development resources available. Thank you for your understanding!

Actually, what would be especially useful is if the data center could itself provide a LOCAL web portal (turned on/off by an option in the app), as opposed to a cloud-based one. This then obviates any security problems or authentication issues. It would be on your local network and therefore should be as protected as anything else on your local network.

That Data Center is only used for RTK correction data and to provide the rover with WiFi HaLow to your wired home internet. It’s just a simple wireless bridge with some RTK components added. It is able to operate without internet in a local mode. I don’t think it would be capable of providing this type of web service to the rover. The rover would have to provide that on it’s own or through some type of API calls to a Yarbo web portal on the internet that you could interact with.
