Why is it Permitted to Jump on Pathway in Middle

This is an old issue that still hasn’t been addressed and needs to be. Yarbo drove down the MIDDLE of my ACTIVE driveway to enter a Pathway in the middle. This is a direct violation of the Pathway’s intended function. Why would this ever be allowed? Pathways have a Start and an End. That should be the only points it can enter or exit. The bot has no idea what hazard or obstruction could be present along a Pathway.

A per-pathway toggle for that feature would be appropriate, “Allow on/off ramping”.

I use that enter/exit feature all the time, often for the M1 but also for the S1. But I’m lucky that my layouts allow me to avoid driveways with the M1.

I’m wondering if Mike can add a feature to soft-delete objects and pathways, maybe based on module tag. They’d stay in Yardstick but not be in the core when we flag them as “not in season”. Then your S1 driveway wouldn’t be an area at all, until you enable it. You could make an M1 version of the driveway area that’s exactly what you need for summer, and toggle either area in or out based on season.

Another user came up with a great solution. Use Yardsticks Backup feature to create a Summer Map and a Winter Map, each containing only the items needed for that season. It’s brilliantly simple

It’s what some people have wanted for a long time. Different seasonal maps. I’m not in that camp but I do want strict pathway adherence mode and labels for pathways (as well as being able to disable them) as an option.

Hi there, I’m sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. I’ve shared your feedback with our team again for further review. We appreciate you taking the time to help us improve Yarbo.
