So, I bought this tow-spreader for my Yarbo. However, the more I stand and stare at it, the more I question how this should go.
I don’t see creating a path as I need a broad casting of seed and fertilizer. With the Yarbo’s long profile and its turning, I can see the hitch and spreader getting trashed. I can see using the follow-me feature. However, complete coverage is still bothering me.
Any one have a tried and proven method to get the best coverage with the less damage and issues? I understand in 2023 the “tow” feature/mode was promised. Any development?
I suggest waiting for the upcoming (and long promised) Tow Mode before trying to automate towing anything behind Yarbo.
Basically, right now there is no guarantee that Yarbo won’t unexpectedly decide to back up or zero turn and jackknife whatever you are towing. Lots of folks (myself included) have tried coming up with reliable workarounds, but there are always drawbacks.
From what we have been told, Tow Mode is scheduled to be included in the next major release assuming testing goes well. So maybe if we are lucky, it’ll be released soon.
I’ve been reading several articles and comments back since June 2024 about this promised feature. I’m hoping Yarbo sees it as a selling point rather than just a consumer “wish item”.
this month is the tow mode month. Ken K promised that last month. but time is running out. last month was also trimmer delivery month, it wasn’t completely fulfilled either.
Hope the suggestions from other users can give you some helpful ideas! As for Tow Mode, it is currently under testing and is expected to be released along with the next major update. We really appreciate your patience and feedback while the team continues working on it.
Since Yarbo has been selling the tow hitches, I take it Yarbo got the cart before the horse? I just bought the reinforced hitch. Rather frustrating. And PLEASE don’t tell me the tow feature will only be released for the “M” series, leaving the “Y” without.
Why don’t they just say, “We have no idea when…”? I’m a planner. I live in zone 4-5 and we see our first snow in latter October. My summers are short and winters, long. I can’t be led on with reschedules and months of silence.
I fully understand. Tow mode is something their marketing team has shown as a working feature for at least 1.5 years, and we still don’t have it.
I was really pissed with the whole trimmer situation, paid for it in January 2025, they said it would be March April release, then they said fall. No body even got one till February.
So I thought I would take the sure bet, send it to me in March, well March turned into April, April into Mid May. But now I got it and I can’t even trust it to work as it might try to do the trimming in reverse and damage it or something else.
When yarbo works it works ok, but usually to get it to work, you have to turn off all the features that marketing hyped up and we paid for that hurt it’s performance. That is the shame of it. We have to dumb it down and turn on no go zones around everything.
I invested in the kickstarter for the “M” series. I have several people at my place of business anticipating what and when the M’s will arrives. I’ll have egg on my face if it flops and isn’t released until next year.
