Is there an updated status on tow mode?

Last I heard: “July - August” – maybe, what, a week and a half ago?
Ken K. indicated they haven’t been happy with the testing. He also said it will be limited in the first release, from what I gathered a rectangular Area with a limited number of No-go Zones. He did say they expanded it from just the SAM to the Mower as well, which I was glad to hear so you won’t have to swap out the mower module. (You won’t be able to mow in Tow Mode, which makes sense, as mowing backs up and gets the crannies, Tow Mode has to keep what you’re towing in mind.)
Ryan in Chicago did a demonstration of the early version of Tow Mode about 3 weeks ago, and it was doing what you’d expect, very basic. If it’s able to tow my lawn sweeper around the open areas of my lawn, I’ll be happy with that.
I just ran the lawn sweeper in Toe Mode (walking around with it with the controller). In Tow Mode I’ll just rake debris from the sides/crannies to the front of the rover, and it’ll do the cleaning up for me. Same as I do for leaf cleanup with the riding mower – I rake a little, it does the rest. That works.

Seems ok to not mow while towing

A use case I could think of is mowing while towing a lawn sweeper to pick up anything it can get – get it in one swell foop. But it’s not necessary, I don’t think, and I’m fine with running things in stages.
Wouldn’t a sweeper HAVE to throw off the navigation for mowing? My Yarbo does a whole lot of backing while mowing. I fell like it would simply twist the tongue on the sweeper. ALOT!

Hi Kolbe, thank you for your interest in tow mode. As you may have noticed, we’ve just released a major update that included many new features and improvements. Because of this, our resources have been focused elsewhere, and tow mode development has been reprioritized. At the moment, I don’t have a clear timeline to share, but I’ll make sure to keep you updated once we do. We truly appreciate your patience and support.

To be fair…I see “Tow” as a feature on the website info pages and no “Tow Mode”. So, it’s not like they’re advertising this as a delivery feature and not delivering on it.

Ok, I’m new here. 
Where did it say that it came with Tow Mode? Was it the kickstarter or so where else? I’m honestly interested because I haven’t seen where it was an installed feature. I’m 100% on board with others taking about how certain features don’t feel complete so I’m not some Yarbo-can-do-no-wrong person.
Becoming a Yarbo customer recently I’ve been watching and reading a ton. I’ve gotten the feeling there are some people who seem to feel entitled to internal communications of this company. They also seem to feel entitled to faster development of features and or adding new ones they suggest. I’m not looking at you, it’s just what I feel after reading a lot of posts.
It reminds me of my Father-In-Law. He’s a great man. Being retired, not into hobbies, has friends but they’re not around a lot, is 75….his focus on things is immediate. I work, have a business, have a family, and the majority of the time he is ready for something to happen immediately. Like, if I say I’ll be over around noon. He’ll be ready for me at 8. ….this is what a number of people in this forum feel like.
Again…I’m not looking at you but this is the internet and it’s hard to believe people/posts, I get that.

I’m sorry to hear that. I can see you’re on coming with a big update. We’ve just been promised tow mode for a long time now. And your tested tow mode on live and what was done looked fine. I’m quite happy with it as a beta product. I think it’s much easier than how I use tow mode now on pathways.

Please do. Fall is here. We need this to make our lawns healthy before the winter sets in. To be able to just pull a lawn sweeper at minimum, very light and balanced pull over a wide area. Some of the others are heavier I understand. Please and Thanks. Been hearing abound this coming in the next update.

Thanks for checking in! The next update will be arriving soon. However, we’re sorry to share that Tow Mode won’t be included in this release. Based on the feedback we’ve gathered, we’ve determined that the feature isn’t yet mature enough for public use.
We truly appreciate your interest and enthusiasm for this feature, and we sincerely apologize for any disappointment this may cause.
