Yet another NGZ Incursion - Propane Tank

@joshyz73 @bryan.wheeler Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, and thank you for sharing your experience and suggestion. I’ve passed your feedback along to our team for further review.

It’s not like this happens rarely. I see it to different degrees on nearly every run. There is an incorrect calculation happening somewhere that should not be this difficult to nail down. As @bryan.wheeler stated this failure was introduced recently. I believe it was early in this season’s updates. We’ve all been living on the edge for too long. We keep reporting it, it keeps happening, another update get released, it keeps happening… So now what?

Well, here’s part 2 of the question answered. Appreciate the honesty, I guess. We’re back to the well known “future updates”.

Thank you for your message — and first of all, I owe you an apology. My previous reply was unclear and misleading, and I’m sorry for the confusion it caused.

I misspoke, and I take full responsibility for that. What I should have said is this: we have identified the cause of the issue and we are aware of this limitation. Our team is actively working on it, and improvements to address this behavior will be included in future firmware updates.

In the meantime, the most effective protection is to increase the No‑Go Zone buffer distance around your propane tank. Expanding the zone gives the unit a wider safety margin, especially during this type of maneuver. You can adjust this in the app by editing the No‑Go Zone and expanding its boundaries.

Again, I’m sorry for the mixed messaging. You deserve a clear and straight answer, and I appreciate you pushing for one.

That sounds like an AI response to me.

Yep. So did the original response.

Long live the Machines!

… I have nothing. Maybe I’ll fully understand in a future update.

Super neat that Deadends near a NGZ have now also figured out how to back into the restricted space. It obviously didn’t start in a NGZ. Adding more buffer to your NGZs won’t fix this stupid. I’m am so fed up with this trash software! Beyond furious is an understatement. Can’t wait for that new Pro Core, HA!

and before someone asks why it starts so far out, it’s to work around ANOTHER BUG that DEs need to be staggered to work without shredding the yard!

Too close together and it glues them together and runs them all, per DE
Wrong distance apart and it runs them backwards

Really sorry to hear this happened again. Since this occurred near the Dead Ends, the cause may be different from the previous cases.

I’ve updated the case with the responsible FSE so they can review it and see if we can investigate this specific behavior further.

Please keep us updated on whether this happens again or if it was only a one-time occurrence.

Also, did the issue of Yarbo entering the No-Go Zone happen at the time shown in the screenshot? We reviewed the logs but could not find a relevant record, so confirming the approximate time would help us investigate further.

Wrong distance apart and it makes a dozen yard shredding forward/backward/left/right moves trying to find it’s heading and then zero turns back into each one. This was another ticket that was closed with no real resolution.

Time on on the pic is when it happened. Sept 15th. Look for the E-Stops.

Thanks for the information. I’ve asked our team to retrieve the relevant logs and investigate whether we can identify the root cause. If this issue happens again, please let us know as well.

Where do we stand with this antenna upgrade? I haven’t seen or heard anything.

Edit: It did update the ticket as well.

@cobradunn Sorry for the delay in delivery. I’ve confirmed with our team that we’ll begin shipping the Pro Antennas today. Thank you for your patience while we arrange the shipment. We’ll send you the tracking number as soon as it becomes available.
