2024 core replacements

Collecting data on 2024 core replacements. If you had your 2024 core replaced, please reply with your story. It’d be nice to know how long you had the core and what went wrong with the core. (Symptoms and or visual failures.)

My first mow with my 2024 core and M1 mower was May 8th, 2024. I have not had my core replaced but I did have a failure on my M1 mower. If there is interest we can start a thread for the M1 failures as well.

First core: cameras quit working and they could not fix it remotely.

Second core: maps getting reset randomly . Something to do with hardware.

Third core: random lights and not working.

4th core : It has some kind of battery error B004 and not recognizing modules. Replacement being shipped soon.

All this is from May 2025 when I got it up and running. Each failure has been within 2 weeks of getting it set up. Only lawn mower module being used.

I got my core around Jan 2025. It was replaced about 4 weeks later. Controller board short circuited. This was identified as a design flaw and Yarbo sent out tubes of goo to everyone to coat their boards with. My replacement unit was a new design and had the board horizontally mounted opposed to the original design which was vertically mounted.

This was my experience. Sometime in February I started a plan and nothing happened. Went to check on it and a light was blinking, couldn’t get it to respond. I powered it down and when I pressed the button to power it back on I heard a loud pop, saw a bright flash in the front of the unit and could see and smell a bunch of smoke.

It would be interesting if the users could include a rough estimate of run time before failure and what modules are used: snowblower, lawn mower, or both.

On 2025 I have had 3 new core units.

First replacement was I believe because of powerboard issue.

Second core arrived because of the drive gearbox failure.

Third new unit arrived just last Thursday. The problem this time was that flashing lights and unable to connect to the core.

Yarbo didn’t specify what exactly was the problem. Just sent me new one.

This my last problem looks like it’s gaining its popularity. Didn’t notice any of this type of problems reported on this forum before the last update was rolled out at the start of the september. Interesting.

I just got the message that I’m due for a core replacement, because of my persistent problems with RTK connection and the Rover waiting for RTK signal and communication issues with the, flawlessly working, DC I get an replacement core.

For me it is the first replacement since getting the core in Dec 2024.

Activated our 2024 Core 8/23/2025. Started mapping after receiving the Pro Mower on 9/27/2025. Placed a ticket 10/11/2025 that the core would not charge after returning to the DS. Received notice 10/15/2025 that another core was being shipped out.

Received Core#2 10/30/2025. Replaced by Core#3 11/24/2025 due to bad inspection process for refurbished units. #3 looks pretty good, much better than #2.

My original core was received 4/21/25 at 10:58 AM and the first mow was May 8th, 2024. Core went offline while docked and charging on 11/22/25. I went to the charging station and could smell smoke. No visible signs of smoke. Looks like maybe some water egress on the power board.

Replacement core (refurbished) arrived today. 11/30/25.
Getting it setup and running was a breeze.

If you recognize these work areas, I have your old core.

If you recognize these work areas as yours could you please DM me what went wrong so I can document it here? Thanks in advance.

But Yarbo swears they improved the security by deleting this info before shipping out refurb units

To be fair, these were in the cloud. But your sentiment still sands.
