2025 Lawnmower Pro Upper Alignment Pins Disengaged from Core

I received the lawnmower Pro a few days ago and finally had an opportunity to try it out. After mowing (manual control) for 45min. I noticed the upper locking pins (or alignment pins) had come free from the core (first drawing detail). The lower alignment pins were still “locked” in place. The mower was set for 3.5-inch mow height.

When the mower was attached to the core there was a heavy clicking sound and then the locking levers were “locked in place” (second drawing detail). Before mowing I gave the mower a few tugs by the lifting handles to ensure it was was locked in place.

I’ve inspected the upper /lower locking ports and locking levers for alignment, loose parts and bent parts. I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. Ticket #125700 has been submitted

Has anyone had the upper alignment pins become disengaged from the core while using the Pro mower?

On another note, the mower is preparing for its winter nap. The winter rains have started in the Pacific Northwest (Washington State) and we seldom dry out until mid-April. I’m unlikely to be using the mower until spring.

Cheers

I used to leave the locking levers down and push the mower upwards to push the locking pins through and hear it lock. I found I couldn’t do this with the pro, I had to leave them up and get it lined up, drop the latches and then push up a few times to be sure. Basically grab the front of the mower and push all the way up until you hear the click. Do it several times to be sure. If it does not stay latched that way, then something is off for sure and the ticket should help get your issue resolved.

I have done it the way Bryan said he does it, but I have always done that on every module, so no difference to me, never had one fall off.

Hi @w.borhauer Our team is already reviewing your support ticket (#125700). They’ve requested a short video showing how the module connects and when the pins become loose so they can analyze it more accurately. Once that’s received, they’ll move forward with the next steps right away.

Appreciate your patience and the detailed inspection you’ve done.
