Ability to press Next on No Go Zone drawing

When creating no go zones in draw mode it is tedious to get the machine in a spot close enough to the start to have the next button activate. It would be a simple but effective enhancement to allow the “next” button to be active and auto draw the line from current position to the start position.

Good one. Exactly like what currently happens when drawing an area. It completes back to the start point with a straight line. Why the different behavior?

It actually used to support this but they removed it because of accidental next pushes and or users not getting it quite lined up properly and resulting in NGZ collisions. It is frustrating but I understand the logic. The PPP have long advocated for an advanced user functionality toggle to turn stuff like this back on. But would probably make the most sense would be an auto test afterwards which has been a very popular ask from the community.

Hmm. I don’t recall seeing that. In any case, I’ll take both options please  The biggest problem is manually getting the start end end to align just right with the limited zoom as @jjurisch describes. I’ve ended up with a jagged join and needing and remap. Otherwise it’ll do all kinds of jogging around at the mismatch.

Yes, I just experienced that this weekend. I drew it, couldn’t get the next and then adjusted until I saw it. Being cautious, I went ahead and just threw a templated NGZ directly over what I had just drawn. The pathing algorithm is a lot more forgiving of the consistency of the shape vs drawn.

Thanks for sharing your suggestion! As Bryan mentioned, we do have some additional concerns regarding this feature, especially around accidental activations and potential mapping issues.

That said, I’ll continue monitoring the community’s interest in this idea. If more users share the same feedback, I’ll make sure to pass it along to our product team for further evaluation.
