Is there a way to draw a nogo area without going into the area? I want to nogo the street but it’s fairly busy street and don’t want to drive the yarbo into the street? Is there a way to draw a nogo line.
Yep. You can draw No-go Zones wherever you want. Later on you can map an Area over them. You can delete an Area, and the No-go Zones stay. But the rover isn’t going there anyway unless the No-go Zone is in an Area. If the rover slips out of an Area due to a slippery incline, it’s likely going to wander away per one report, so be careful if you have such a thing. (Yarbo may have fixed that already or have it on the list, not sure.)
There is no “No-go Line.” Work carefully with the Area borders/boundaries, Pathways, and Deadends, keeping them sensibly back from harm’s way. Use the Area’s Boundary Set Back setting if needed. I have an Area that is mapped about 8" away from where my grass driveway touches the road I live on (fairly low traffic road), and the rover keeps to itself there – it’s just a straight line with two left turns for the rover, no obstacles, so it’s not dodging anything or slipping.
Yes, just use the template option instead of drawing them. Put the rover close to the area you want to drop the template at if you need a good reference point for where to place it.
