I’ve never reset it before.
The battery’s capacity has been slowly decreasing over the past maybe 1.5 weeks or so. I’ve just been monitoring it to see what happens. I was hopeful it would self resolve. Nope. Even after restarting the robot a few times, it still won’t self resolve.
So now I’ll do the BMS reset (unplug battery for 4 hours) and see what happens.
Mine is peaking at 96%. Looks like this could be a wide spread issue. Must be software.
Let’s hope it’s that simple
Mine is now down to 84% max charge. I’ll go pull the battery for the ‘reset’ shortly.
I going to keep an eye on this. I rotate batteries so I swap them out every couple days based on the work plan if it is needed.
So I wonder if this is why I am not seeing these charging characteristics. Just a thought.
I guess by default the battery BMS is always resetting eventually when not in use.
Interesting. Yep. You’re probably ‘resetting’ the BMS by nature of rotating them.
But why is this problem just starting to happen now? Wasn’t an issue for anyone during the warm weather months.
Makes me wonder if it’s a newly introduced bug (hopefully) versus an actual defect in the battery.

To be honest, I’m not a sports fan at all. But it’s almost obligatory to mention “the rivalry”.
Best time to go shopping is during an OSU game. Except maybe shopping for TVs. The men who got forced out of the house are watching the game at the TV section of EVERY store.
Hardly any traffic and no lines at the checkout.
No pies left from Thanksgiving. Currently squatting on my wife dining room table with my Mac. I’m sure I’ll be moving shortly.
I had to do that this morning as well, at least I got a good arm workout with the snowcaster
