I was hoping Adaptive mode would cut the time it takes to mow down but it didn’t seem to make a difference at all. I’m not a big fan of the different patterns it cuts and then if you zoom in, you can see so many untouched areas that make no sense but a change in direction in areas that didn’t seem to need it.
I may go back to Parallel. What are you guys seeing?
My 2 cents on this is, I like checkerboard better. I also took some great advise and instead of having one large area. Because I have multiple acres, I broke mine into 7 areas. I did try others. I like the spiral as well where I have many bushes, and planters with flower beds. The only thing I would change with the spiral would be start in the center a work inside to outside. The reason is when he’s done. He then tracks over the grass he just cut. Checkerboard also gets anything he might have missed. Again just my 2 cents.
I agree. I like the concepts of adaptive and it will get there eventually. But for me, checkerboard is still preferred. I need the rotation and consistency of cut lines. Really hope adaptive features come to all patterns.
Thanks for your feedback. Based on the current algorithm, Adaptive Route mode may not always be the optimal choice for every lawn shape or condition. We understand there is still room for improvement with this pattern, and we encourage you to use the route option that best suits your lawn in the meantime.
I ran this current mow with adaptive hoping the little leg going north would just switch directions to run N/S. Instead it cut the area in half, which I don’t mind but the area I figured it would optimize to run N/S still ended up being short back and forth lines.
In the picture the blue circle is the leg that would be better to run N/S
It would have been better to run the area along the road including the leg as one adaptive direction and the rest as another.
