Add a “smart turn around” on the app controller

Turning yarbo in place with the controller seems way slower than when it does a turn on a work plan. It would’ve nice if there was a shortcut button to

  • 180 turn
  • Smart 180 turn
  • 90 degree left
  • 90 degree right
  • 45 left
  • 45 right

When you are trying to do some fine manual controls having some ways to have Yarbo do a quicker turn would make for a bit easier manual control.

Add drive in a straight line to that list.

I mean technically that’s in the app controller already…but if it’s slippery or hilly it’s not driving straight…maybe a “try to drive straight button, even it Yarbo loses course keep trying to correct while keeping the line straight.” mode…Also with a preview of the line… Also needs to be in mapping mode or mapping by waypoint

Cleaning up a map after the fact is probably more practical of a software fix. Mapping by waypoint, well how do you set a waypoint when you don’t have a map or point of reference. Drive straight for X feet might work.

Where is that in the app controller? I haven’t met anyone who can drive that thing straight. Even mapping my lawn in the summer doesn’t create a straight line.

Can be done. Used the D-Pad only for most of that.

Fair enough. I have as well. Still don’t get straight lines all the time. I made my comment in jest. It’s not really an issue. It would be nice to be able straighten lines out though.

Yes, for sure it would be.

Thank you for sharing your suggestion. If more users show the same interest, I’ll be glad to pass it along to our product team.

I do 3 sides and let the 4th draw itself. That way one side is straight.

That’s what I do as well. I deliberately map the longest straight section last for that reason.
