At the moment overlap can only be 0, 10 and 20 cm. Would be nice to have more control.
There is also a translation failure to german in the find my Yarbo. “Me” should be Ich instead of Mich. Or better “Meine Position”.
And not a bug but nice to have, please insert a space between number and unit.
Thank you for your suggestion.
Regarding the overlap control, I’ve passed this feedback to our product team for consideration. As for the translation issue, I apologize for not understanding German. Do you mean that the current translation “Finde Mein Yarbo” is incorrect and should be “Meine Position”? Based on my understanding, “Meine Position” could cause some confusion as it translates to “my position,” which might be interpreted as the user’s position instead of tracking the position of the Yarbo. If I’ve misunderstood your point, please let me know, and I will forward the clarification to our product team.
Also, it’s great to hear that you mentioned having a space between the number and the unit. We’ll take that into account as well!
Thank you again for your valuable feedback!
Here is a Screenshot for what I mean

“meine Position” means my position.
I hope this makes things a little bit more clear.
Thanks for providing the clarification. I will pass this to the relevant team!
@Yarbo-Forum There is a user on FB who posted humpy grass which he mowed again to smooth out (I am assuming he mowed at a different angle the 2nd time).
Why do these stripes happen? I’m working on a theory (hello assumptions and guesses!) that it is because the casters are hitting the same lines per pass and crushing the grass down. In his case every 2 passes, based on what I’m looking at in the picture. Yes? No? Agree? Disagree?
So I enlisted Grok to work through this, and ASSUMING 12" caster spacing with a 4" inboard (I haven’t measured it), a BETTER set of mowing Overlap options would be 2", 6", and 10" (in addition to the ones already there so we don’t upset people) to avoid rolling over the same tracks with the casters. Yes, per Grok, because math, based on ASSUMPTIONS, because lazy.
Obviously the ideal values to supply for Overlap would depend on exact caster measurements (I haven’t done), but perhaps the Engineers can have a look at this and come up with Overlap values that will not run the casters through the same tracks during a mow, hopefully eliminating what the user showed in his picture.
This is kind of what I was seeing. I went to 8 inch overlap and that seems to have fixed it. Although it REALLY extends the time to mow even when you select Fastest speed.
I see what you @bryan.wheeler, @ken.w.gregory are seeing with this. So my thing is there are justifiable reasons to have an overlap for some. What would be your idea setting at this point overlap in inches? Also for anyone reading this, maybe show in the app where to set up what we’re talking about. Also could cutting a different angle every other time, like diamond cutting help with this also? I know it’s healthier for the lawn. Thanks.
Overlap inches is set in the work area advanced settings.
(So in each work area)
As for ideal overlap, I’d prefer no overlap, as that would provide the fastest mow possible.
I don’t think that is realistic with the way it is working today. I’m sure over time Yarbo will improve the navigation and this will become more accurate/reliable.
As far as cutting at a different angle goes, right below overlap is Route Rotation Degree.
(It is a Parallel route pattern only setting)
Here is the explanation from the app.
It automatically adjusts the angle of the mow, which is what I believe the goal is behind your question.
