Allow the Smart Assist Module to run in "Emulation Mode"

Please develop a provision for the Smart Assist Module (pull down option, etc.) to be set as a Snow Blower, Mower, Leaf Blower, Trimmer, etc. without that module needing to be attached. This will allow for behavior auditing, path planning, and troubleshooting. Thanks! -=< Kevin >=-

That’s actually a great idea.

Won’t be a perfect emulation due to the size differences between modules, but would be really helpful in a lot of circumstances.

I’d like that mode to be applicable to all modules, don’t allow snowblower auger to run in emulation mode using any other module, don’t run blades on mower if emulating any other module, etc, etc. Excellent idea.

Straight to the implementation phase. No discussion needed.

Hi there, thanks so much for your suggestion — it’s a thoughtful idea. At this stage, it may not be a high priority for the current development cycle, but I’ll definitely keep track of this feature request and see if more users express interest. Appreciate you sharing it!

@Yarbo-Forum -What’s a ballpark number of “enough users?” Because I am going to go out and start recruiting! This is a great idea.

I thought the number of likes was supposed to be 5 min, which it was.

Ok. We’re up to 8 likes so far. Let’s see if we can get a couple more. This is an idea that needs to be implemented!

To add to this, and to Mike’s point - this should be available for all modules. All settings accessible for all modules at all times independent of which module is installed. In emulation mode, however, it wouldn’t actually blow snow with the mower, but it would follow the path and perform the task as if it was attached. This lets you map and tweak the settings in the summertime without having to install the module, the winter tracks, etc. Seems like a trivial thing, but would be very helpful IMHO. Caveats and obligatory disclaimers for differences in module sizes, etc.
