I’m on my 3rd unit from this company and it’s sensors are apparently broken. Yarbo repeatedly sends the canned responses assuring me that they are going to fix these issues and yet nothing gets fixed. This is a replacement unit to the 2nd unit that literally went up in smoke (apparently it had some sort of electrical short/burn out), which was a replacement for my first unit that quit charging. They assured me, at length, that the replacement units go through more rigorous testing than the new units…Out of the box it’s broke. This company is an absolute joke. I’ve given them MULTIPLE options to change the narrative on this and they just literally DO NOT CARE. (They still haven’t issued my refund for the returned trimmer from over a month ago either. Same song and dance of they can’t get it to process, there’s issues, etc… I went to the bank and got them to return the funds at this point since Yarbo has no desire to correct this.) The current unit thinks it’s literally sitting 90 degrees to the charging pad and can’t find it’s way anywhere because the sensors are obviously screwed up. It’s been this way out of the box and they’ve done nothing with it but have assured me they will, again, come to a good resolution. At this point I’m getting my case together to take them to court for the costs that I’ve put out on their product, the fact I had to purchase an additional push mower because their product doesn’t do what they said it would do and for the costs of me having to pay someone to cut my property at $200 a week. This has been ongoing for over a month now (yep, no mower that I paid thousands of dollars for - for over a month). They don’t want to truly go above and beyond or actually fix this situation so they’ve left me no choice but to take it to small claims court.
For those that don’t know, the process is simple and the upper limit is something like $20k so you can easily reclaim your costs through court. For me, this should easily fall under laws like the lemon law due to price and the fact that it looks like it will take yet another module to, most likely, not fix it. I have zero faith that the 4th module will work correctly and stay working for ANY length of time. Think about this, you pay 3-5k plus for this product and it doesn’t even last a year. You buy a regular riding mower for the same prices and it lasts DECADES! Garbage, utter garbage that Yarbo treats its customers like this.
Hi Joshua,
First of all, we’re truly sorry for everything you’ve experienced. We completely understand your frustration. After multiple replacements and the delays you’ve encountered, we recognize that this is not the experience we want any customer to have.
We’d also like to let you know that we’ve already posted updates in both of your support tickets:
- Ticket #226149 – We’ve arranged another replacement unit and upgraded it to expedited shipping to get it to you as quickly as possible.
- Ticket #228719 – We’ve also provided an update regarding your Trimmer refund. We fully acknowledge that the refund process has taken much longer than it should have. This is our responsibility, and it’s not the level of service we expect to provide.
In addition, our Customer Service Director has reached out to you directly by email. Please check your inbox when you have a chance. We want to work with you personally and do everything we can to resolve both the machine issue and the refund as quickly as possible.
We know that rebuilding trust comes from actions, not words. We’re committed to seeing both of these issues through and appreciate the opportunity to make this right.
Sincerely,
Team Yarbo
Funny how we both are having similar Yarbo experience. My original Core was “approved” for replacement 2025-04-07, and “shipped” 2025-04-08. The original mower approved for replacement 2025-09-01, and “shipped” 2025-09-02. Now waiting on the second mower replacement (third mower in total) approved for replacement 2026-07-27 and yet to be "shipped"to ship. Getting nothing but obfuscations and non answers as to when the cursed thing will ship… As of now Core system is acting flaky as hell sitting on the charging pad occasionally lights flashing and barking out “Ready to Work” … but not really cause it is waiting and waiting for the “new” mower. Pulled the trimmer too cause it is way more work than it was made out to be, rarely use the blower because of the hassle to change the head and move the cars… I bought the upgraded antennas, whole nother story dealing with “customer no service” there. supposedly those are in transit..
I too am pretty well disgusted with the performance of the product and the company response. Good Luck
