Area Start Angle (user defined)

I have multiple zones and I can’t get the angle of cut to match across all zones. Because yarbo picks the most efficient route for the shape of the area, none of my areas have the same starting angle.

I propose having the ability to see the start angle manually. (You could have a checkbox or slider that asks if you want to set the start angle manually or use the automatic angle for most efficient cutting)

Example
Start Angle: 0deg
And then all the other settings as is. (I still want the ability to choose diamond or checkerboard or whatever, I just want to my zones to cut on the same angle as each other every time.

That way I can set parallel paths and have all of my lawns all start on the exact same angle so they all match. This would make drone photos look way better! ;).

But also when I have multiple zones that are close to each other it looks wonky right now when the angles don’t line up. The route rotation setting is limited to 10° increments, so I can’t use that to align my various areas.

Thanks!

Possible duplicate of How to align all work area cutting directions

I thought someone posted recently somewhere – Facebook maybe – about having better control over Route Angle instead of the 10 degree increments, but it may have been about Boundary Set Back. Sorry, don’t recall.

Anyway, I noticed that issue as well where Area 1 and Area 2 don’t quite line up regardless of what you set as the Rotation Angle. That’s probably a result of how the Areas are mapped influencing the mowing calculations. Having more granular control of Route Angle would help.

Thank you for sharing your suggestion!

We completely understand your desire to align the cutting angles across all zones to achieve a more uniform and visually appealing result—especially for drone photography or when zones are close together.

We’ve already shared two related feature requests with our product team:

Allowing route angle adjustments in 1-degree increments Allow Route Angle Adjustments in 1 degree Increments

Enabling a shared 0-degree reference angle across all zonesEnable all work areas to have the same reference 0 degree angle

We truly appreciate your feedback—it’s suggestions like yours that help us continue improving the Yarbo experience.
