Auger not working!!!

No instructions were included in the package. I guess we are all robotic engineers here.

Nice! The motor leads on mine were really tight, I had to do some wiggling to get the bracket to slide off and back on the top right screw. Definitely don’t take it all the way out as the video insinuates. Otherwise that’s a pretty good visual aid.

Look up. I posted the video this morning.

When I look up, I only see the ceiling.

Thanks for pointing that out. Missed it earlier

:joy: keep looking. It’ll be there on the ceiling eventually! :joy:

I just had my belt break after its 2nd use. It broke in about 1" of light fluffy snow on level pavement. I was watching it work and didn’t see it come into contact with anything prior to the auger just stopping. Shear pins are fine.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately, there have been a few belt breaking issues recently. Seems like a bad batch of belts, or a manufacturing issue.

Open a ticket with Yarbo and they’ll send you a replacement belt. It doesn’t seem to be a reoccurring issue, so hopefully this a ‘one and done’ for you.

My auger isn’t working and wonder if it is the belt or the sheer pin. I have an open ticket with support and spoke to someone. They were supposed to call me back and told me not to do anything until they contacted me. I’ve sent videos and pictures. It’s frustrating to keep waiting for close to 36 hours.

If it is the shear pins, the auger blades will spin independtly freely and easily by hand but not turn the impeller. You can remove the module and inspect the belt for any missing teeth and signs of wear (or see if it’s broken).

The blades aren’t moving and seem locked. Using the reverse auger button on the app makes a high-pitched sound, but no movement

With the module or battery disconnected, reach in and spin the impeller (all the way inside). This should spin easily and will gradually spin the augers. If it doesn’t spin freely, something is definitely not right. Same should be true of spinning the big back pulley on the rear of the module. It should spin freely and easily and turn the motor above as well as the impeller and augers. I would record video of all of it and attach it to your ticket to speed up the analysis. You can post it here if it’s too big for the ticket and link the post in your ticket.

I saw someone Facebook that had a misaligned belt on their snowblower. Maybe this could be a similar issue?

@mauldin.team : Could you also post some pics here of the back of your snowblower module so we can see the impeller belt and its alignment?

Anything is possible. If the S1 is fairly new, I’d put money on a broken belt.

Bingo. And Ouch. Broken belt. Sorry to see it.

If you open a ticket and add these pictures, Yarbo will send you a replacement.

Ty, ticket submitted.

You’re welcome. Hopefully you will get the replacement belt soon.

Since it seems to be a common issue, maybe they’ll send two.
