Made a 120 watt peltier cooler lid for testing. These are the results. All temperatures in Celsius during recharge starting with a hot battery at 20% charge.

Battery 37 @ 20% start
38 @ 28% charge
40 @ 37%
41 @ 46%
43 @ 52%
44 @ 60%
45 @ 72%
46 @ 80% resumed work plan.
This is not the solution to the overheating problem but it helped.
Could only get to 60% charge before automatic shutdown without the cooler with the same parameters.
