When there is more than 2 “layers” of things on an map, it’s not easy/possible to actually select something. (eg, a sidewalk over a pathway, over an area) The mapping tool seems to only select up to 2 elements in an overlap. Allow users to tap for each layer, and perhaps include a label or other visual indicator telling users what is “selected”. Often the highlight only is challenging to see in an overlapping scenario, resulting in incorrect edit/deletes
I was dealing with this exact issue a couple of days ago. Couldn’t tap to select a visible Pathway because there were two Work areas above them.
Then I remembered that I could select the pathway directly from the edit maps, pathways screen. That solved the problem, but I agree - there should be a better way. These maps are really getting way too cluttered once you map for multiple Yarbo modules.
You can select any item from the item list:
Enter My Yard –> Edit Map –> Select Type (Area, Pathway, etc) –> Click on the item and it will be selected and highlighted on the map.
If meaningful names are applied (not default) it should be quick to find required item.
Hi there, thanks for sharing this feedback. We understand how overlapping layers can make selection difficult. I’ll pass this suggestion along to our team for further consideration.
