I just received my new Yarbo Mower Pro and started mowing my yard. I noticed that the grass wasn’t getting cut about an hour into mowing. I flipped the unit on its side and found the grass had built up on the straight blades, making the cutting edge of the blades “rounded” and preventing the blades from cutting the grass. I cleaned it off with a wire brush and razor blade and sent it on its way. Has anyone else experienced this? I cleaned it off before I took a picture. Will add a picture later if it happens again.
Do you have the blades oriented correctly? There is a L and R on the blades that should match the deck and then a “this side facing grass” should be readable when installed. Trust me, it’s easy to screw up if you aren’t paying attention. I wish the blades were keyed too.
Bryan, yes, they are mounted correctly. I made sure of that because when the unit came, it had the razor blade disc on it, and I thought, “How do I know which is L or R?” Then, when I took the discs off, I saw the large L and R.
Sorry, had to ask just in case. If it happens again, please do post some pictures. Haven’t heard of this issue before.
As Bryan mentioned, it would be worth double-checking whether the blades are installed in the correct orientation. If the blades are mounted the wrong way, it can sometimes lead to reduced cutting performance or buildup like what you described.
Please take a quick look at the blade markings and ensure they are aligned properly. Let us know how it goes—we’re happy to help further if needed!
