Pro mower not cutting!

Ugh I’m not sure what’s going on!!! I just did a full work plan on my new pro mower. Went out to check its work and I don’t think it cut at all!!! It just drove the whole plan but didn’t cut anything… I thought this was happening so i stopped the plan at a certain point. Lowered the blades to 2.7 and started it all over again. I let it do its thing and once it was done that’s when I went out to check and I see NO sign of it having cut. I can hear the blades come on but it sounds pretty light, I’m not sure if it’s always quiet or they’re not working right?

Please let me know if you can help me! I have the fixed blades on. And they are in the correct orientation.

Try manually mowing with your phone or the controller, see if that works.

I agree with @B-Mod. This is a good way to determine if the issue is with software or hardware. Or at least help point in the right direction.

Candidly, I’ve never heard of this issue happening before. So we’re all winging it in terms of helping to figure it out. At least we’re not saying “oh yeah, this happens all the time with Yarbo’s”. Once this unusual issue is resolved, you should have a much better Yarbo experience.

Hi there, really sorry to hear about this—that’s definitely frustrating, especially after running a full plan.

As one of our community members mentioned, could you first double-check that the blades are installed in the correct direction?

Next, it would be helpful to try a short manual mow test. This can help confirm whether the Mower Pro is actually cutting during operation or if the issue is specific to the work plan.

If the issue persists, please feel free to submit a support ticket with some details (photos/videos, your settings, and what you’ve already tried). Our support team will take a closer look and help you troubleshoot this step by step.

Please rest assured—we’ll do our best to get this resolved for you.

I ended up setting it below the recommended height and was able to see that it cut.

I guess maybe it’s cutting its just quite a rough cut?! I assumed it would be cleaner/ nicer looking and I’d be able to see the lines and evidence of nice cuts when looking closely at the grass after “mowed”

if you saw my videos in another post it shows how rough the cut is, leaving behind so many tall blades of grass. It looked as if it was just driving over it and matting it down a little.

Is it an extremely rough cut with the straight blades?

Not that I’ve noticed but on Tall Fescue you can’t cut it at 4 inches. It will look like it pushed it over. For the Pro mower I’ve found 3.5 or 3 inches work best. For the discs on either it needs to be 3 inches or lower. I would definitely double check that your blades are oriented properly and you could also try the razors and see if you are happier with the cut. Or sharpen the straight blade and see if it helps.

I wanted to update and say I did have the blades switched for left and right. I put them in the correct positions and it made all the difference!

I would have thought the moving direction wast front. I missed the little symbols in black.

Thanks, it’s doing a good job out there mowing right now

Glad to hear there wasn’t a problem with your Yarbo.

Hopefully things will be nice and smooth for you going forward.

is left not from the perspective of moving forward? where are the little black symbols?

The core itself left is oriented as you face the rear of the core. From the Mower Pro perspective, if you flipped the module straight up (connector and module connection on the ground, cameras in the air), Left is as your looking at the mower. There is an L and R stamped into the black plastic casing. Also the blades have an L and R and “this side faces grass”
