Call for help

Anyone know if Yarbo is capable of calling for help via text message if it suffers a track slip, collision, overcurrent or any other type of operational error. Would be nice not to have to check back all the time to make sure all is good.

It only supports app push notifications. Text messages would be a nice option. This does exist for the geofence alerts and some of the patrol mode settings.

At times, the push notifications have been spotty in the past, but my personal experience is that the reliability has been improving as of late.

Hmmmm. If it’s already there for geofence etc. seems like it would be pretty easy to put a “call for help” option in. Would make it more of a truly autonomous unit when running on a schedule in a secure location. You know summer is coming and I don’t want to have to interrupt my hammock naps in the sun to check on Jack cutting the grass just to find out he is fine.

And speaking of that. Is beer delivery mode part of the tow haul package?

That needs to be a feature that is prioritized ASAP.

Hi Lane, thanks for bringing this up. At the moment, Yarbo does not support text message (SMS) alerts for operational errors such as track slip, collisions, overcurrent, or similar issues.

That said, I’ll keep an eye on the feedback from other users here. If there’s more interest in this feature, I’d be happy to pass it along to our product team for consideration.

I do think it would be a good option. A text message would get my attention a lot quicker than a push notification.

This is a great idea! Count me in for sure.

Or an option for priority push notifications that can be set to re-alert, like the garage door open notification on Nest cams you can set it to trigger every 15 minutes for an hour, etc

Yes agreed, some alerts should reoccur. Like low battery.
