A coupe reasons this would be good is for maintenance. Calling Yarbo to a specific location (shop in my case) to service, or change modules. Or even out in the yard calling it to a specific location on the map. Currently I start an event and then cancel it when it gets close to me.
Lots of people asking for this. @Yarbo-Forum should be under suggestions/feature requests.
Hi there, thanks for sharing this suggestion.
I’ll pass your interest and feedback along to our team for consideration.
The workaround I use for the mower is to create a short Deadend at the Shop waypoint and create a Plan named Shop Service that only includes it.
Doing this you could pause the workplan once Yarbo enters an area too![]()
I would call it Summon mode. Kinda like calling your dog, “<whistle”> Hey boy, come here!"
Why would I want this? My Yarbo, Buzz LightYar, lives in my garage. The wife texts me and says, “Do you want to send Buzz out to mow?” Yes, she opens the door and disconnects the charging cable. Then I drive Buzz out with smart vision to the back yard. It’s a bit of a drive manually. I can just add a Summon and associate it to a Path like:
Summon: Backyard Middle
Path: Backyard Main
Workplan: Back Yard
Then off he goes!
I would like a few stored procedures for these:
Summon to a location - Have a few spots identified:
- Front Sidewalk
- Garden Gate
- Front Field Culvert
- Bee Yard
It just goes there and waits for next command.
You can also have it accompanied by a toggle and a picker for using an existing named pathway.
- Charger to front field
- Charger to Bee Yard
- Backyard Main
So, it has to use the pathway to have a safe route, then it goes from there to the location of the summoning spot.
Thanks!
