CES Pics of updated Snowblower Module

I’m currently on a shuttle bus back to my hotel.

I can hear two people behind me talking about Yarbo. They’re discussing the different modules and its usefulness versus the overall cost.

Should just be holes and pin detents like a snow roof rake has for the extension poles

I would hope it would be more substational than that, but yes, that’s the idea. A super quick attach plow blade would be ideal In lieu of the S1 being able to automatically close off the auger intake box and autonomously switch to plow mode when the snow is wet/sticky and clogging.

It already has tabs that stick out and rest against the auger housing, should be plenty strong there for pushing it just needs to stay oriented upright in front😁

Although something like these hydraulic back drags but off an electric actuator could work…

Unfortunately, this design is not able to be retrofitted.

I just opened my plow yesterday. It comes with two different screw types. One you have to use the #2 Wrench with and the other you can install without tools. They are fine threaded wing nuts effectively. I took me less than 5 min to install the plow.

I’m really happy with the plow so far. I recommend revisiting your height adjustments before using it, especially if you have gravel or uneven pavement.

Finally, make sure to play around with the plow direction. I have found that it makes a difference how you set the plow direction. For my long narrow drive way it initially was plowing the whole thing the short way, rather than plowing down the length of the driveway or plowing it diagnolly. You have to find somewhere to put the snow, but generally the longer the thing plows straight the less turns it has to make and the faster it gets done.

I have found that, though plowing along the length of the driveway is indeed faster with fewer turns, the snow accumulates on the plow before it’s deposited. Anything more than a sprinkling of snow and it leads to problems. Side-to-side takes a bit longer but the snow is deposited more efficiently along the entire driveway.

I suppose this might be different for different driveway geometry.

Yeah exactly why the default is the side to side to minimize the amount of snow it’s pushing. Since this plow doesn’t articulate, it limits the amount of snow it can push.

What are the benefits of the new snow blower module over the original?

Hopefully more reliable?

For me it takes a long to align the holes for that little screw. I gave up and have used cleco’s to install the plow.
