We’re really sorry for the delayed response to your support ticket. We understand that you are currently experiencing three issues: the Power Board warning, the “Paused by user” issue, and the intermittent charging issue.
I’ve asked the responsible FSE to review your case and investigate the root causes of these issues. We’ll continue following up with the team and keep you updated once we have more information.
The intermittent charging issue covers a lot. Including the dock light turning red until unplugged and replugged, as well as the core needing to be driven off the dock and charging reinitiated.
Over the last couple of days the front camera going out has become more frequent as well.
I’ve been informed that Yarbo doesn’t have a record of my returning my previous core. Fortunately, my security cameras recorded the FedEx driver taking it, and I’m hopeful that I can find the way bill in my download folder of my computer where I think it would be from when I printed it out.
The FSE has indicated that the issues could be related to the extreme heat, and the reality is that most productivity has been happening at night anyway because the battery can’t complete a charge during the day.
The manual intervention of driving the core off the dock and reinitiating the automatic charge finally stopped being effective last night and my core is dead this morning so I am charging via the cord now.
Communication with the core is still unreliable but possible. It often requires multiple attempts and refreshes but then connects long enough to enter a command quickly before dropping again. Distance from the DC is only marginally an issue. It’s charging in direct sight of the datacenter at about 20 ft range and still exhibits same symptoms.
Sorry to hear that your Yarbo is still suffering from the same issues.
For the Core return - Find the email that contains the shipping label link. The tracking number should serve as your proof.
Certainly not a positive Yarbo experience for you thus far. Hopefully this will all be resolved for you soon, and you can enjoy your Yarbo as originally intended.
There were several emails as they were sending cores, data center, lawn mower modules, and a dock all in a relatively short amount of time and the schedule of returns wasn’t in the same order.
Fortunately using the date time stamp of the security camera footage I was able to match that to the waybill that I downloaded from their email the night before to print.
All have been provided back to support so I’m sure it’ll get fixed soon.
Plus tbe S/N of all the old cores have been removed from my account (not by me) so I’m assuming that Yarbo does that when they receive them back.
They haven’t given up, and keep trying, so I am too. When everything works it’s wonderful, so I’m optimistic we will get back to that state.
I also have the luxury of not living in a neighborhood with an HOA. In fact, some of my neighbors are raising livestock. It’s kind of a small farm community. So that takes some of the urgency away.
But yeah, I admit to getting frustrated from time to time.
Is there some sort of active “braking“ Technology that is supposed to engage when the core is on the charging dock?
A bit of context here, I was able once again to get my core to start charging via the dock a little bit ago. By manually edging the core ever so slightly One Direction or another on the dock until it started charging. However, one of the things I was battling in the process was it rolling down the incline of the dock.
This certainly would not explain all of the problems I’ve had, but it might fit with some of the issues related to it charging for a while, then stopping; or charging one time and not the next.
It uses the track motors and supplies a tiny bit of current for holding. It shouldn’t roll down unless the dock isn’t level and that isn’t working properly. Do you see a few microamps of current in the diagnostics for the track motors?
Do you think that the power board issue that I keep getting might result in that electrical current being disrupted from time to time and thus result in the core rolling off the dock sweet spot?
We’re really sorry to hear about the latest issues you’re experiencing, and we truly appreciate your patience throughout the troubleshooting process. I’ve asked the FSE to follow up on your latest updates as soon as possible, and we’ll continue working with you to help resolve these issues.
Thank you again for your understanding and cooperation.
