I have been keeping track of the battery % while charging and noticed it repeatedly jumps from 59% to 100%. Do I need to do a battery recalibration or is this normal (or something else)?
If this isn’t an app caching issue, then it could be a calibration issue. I would definitely unplug the battery for 4 hours to let it recalibrate. If the issue persists, open a ticket. They do have a calibration remote fix now for batteries with persistent calibration issues.
Well … Is there any information how frequent such calibration would be acceptable?
For me it’s already 3rd time this season I have to do this … It’s not end of the world, but still a bit inconvenient.
That seems too many to me. If it happens again, submit the ticket.
I’ve been having a similar issue for months. I’m on now my third battery (support had determined that was the issue). However, mine usually gets to about 80% and then jumps right to 100%. I don’t know if it’s the cause, but I’m now noticing it’s more common on hot days than the cooler ones. The recalibration (unplug for 4 hours) resolves it for a bit, but then a week or two later, it’s back to the same. I’m about to open a ticket again, since this latest battery is having the same issue, which to me indicates it’s not a battery problem.
