Is it possible to make a copy of a work area complete with all the settings and save with a different name?
You would need to map it out a second time as a new area.
I was trying to avoid that. This should be a rather simple program request.
What’s the use case for this? Will you be editing the polygons, after? Or keeping them the same and using alternate settings.
Multiple settings per area would be a pretty neat idea, for sure. Especially if the user redraws the perimeter at some point. But from a delivery standpoint, I expect that a simple copy feature would make it into the app a lot quicker.
Two reasons;
a backup copy in the case i delete the original one like i did when editing the work area
able to run the same geographic area with different settings.
Thank you for your suggestion and for sharing your usage scenario. We will forward your request to our product team for consideration.
Wish I had a dollar for every time I did that…
The workaround of mapping it again so you have two will not work completely, as the Areas will overlap almost 100%, meaning creating reliable Pathways to each will be by luck at best, given how Pathways are currently implemented.
I believe Yarbo has some plans to deal with this to help out those of us with maps with overlaps of snowblower + mower items, but I don’t have any details or a timeline.
