I have had my hardware installed for almost a year now. I have found some areas where the HaLow isn’t good so it switches to LTE. I would like to do surveys of a couple of different optional locations. What is the easiest way to do this? Can I connect the data center to an LTE router to make it portable? I really don’t want to have to run cable just for a test. Depending on where it ends up going it may be a lot of work to get it connected to my main router.
The problem with moving the data center is it messes up your maps. You don’t need internet to check the HaLow signal, the DC just needs power. You can check the diagnostics and as long as HaLow signal is stronger than -80 (closer to zero) then you have good coverage. -80 is the point where it switches to 4G.
You can use a wireless bridge to connect the DC wired to your home WiFi once you find a good spot.
Just be sure to reinstall the data center at the new location and remap

I was planning on re-mapping anyway. My last year maps need some tweaking and I have learned more how the core behaves, so I was going to re-map anyway.
