Difficulty finding charging Pad

Has anyone else had difficulty redocking the rover automatically? I run about a 25% success rate. Sometime it just wonders off in a random direction. Sometimes it just spins in circles. Most times it clears out a spot next to the charger and stops. I posted in the past about how it spun around on the pad so much that it ultimately dug a corner lose and proceeded to chip it up. Well today after returning to dock it cleared a new path about 3-4 ft to the left of the pad. Unfortunately this is past the metal cord protector and it sucked up the charging cord. This is all odd as I never mapped that area. Only a path directly from the pad to the work areas. It seems to like to wonder into areas I have never mapped and do damage. Not a good first season with Yarbo.

Hi there, I’m really sorry to hear about the redocking issues you’ve been experiencing — that definitely sounds frustrating, especially with the damage to the pad and charging cord.

I’ve checked our system and can see your support ticket. Thank you for reporting the issue and providing details. Our support team will continue investigating this once we receive the required information. If there’s anything additional we need from you, they will follow up directly.

We truly appreciate your patience, and we understand how important it is to have reliable docking performance. The team will work to identify the cause and help get this resolved for you.

I would like to add to this thread..

My experience is much the same. The rover is very rarely able to find the chargepad and i often have to manually drive back onto the pad myself. Often enough that i have become fairly good at it. Also, automatically has resulted in shearing pins flying everywhere.. This despite me having disabled the clearing of the pad..

In the same setting i also experience the rover going from fully autonomous snow blowing mode (where it even sets up an automatic schedule, performs it and returns to docking no problem) to suddenly not being able to start a plan because it claims they are not connected. This despite me not having done any changes to the areas or the routes to them. I have also experienced the automatic plan choosing the lawnmower areas regardless of them not being at the top of the list, having me manually reediting the plan to correct it. A menuselection for which plan i want it to automatically choose would be a highly welcome addition here rather than it arbitrary choosing from a long selection list and apparently not choosing correctly.

Also, while i am on the smaller rant of things, last night it wanted to perform an automatic schedule because of snow, between 4 am and 6 am. i would love to have the possibility to limit the time range as this is not a time i can have the robot working..

@terje_h Hi there, welcome to the forum, and thank you for sharing your detailed feedback.

Regarding the docking issue — if your machine frequently fails to dock automatically, we recommend submitting a support ticket so our support team can review the logs and help identify the root cause.

For the second issue, do you recall the specific error message shown and when it occurred? This information would be very helpful in narrowing down the cause.

As for the automatic plan selection, the system currently executes the first work plan that was created — even if it no longer appears first in the list. We understand this can be confusing, and we’re working on improving this behavior in future updates.

Regarding your suggestion about setting a time limit for automatic schedules, we’ve shared this with our product team for consideration.

Thanks again for your thoughtful feedback — it’s greatly appreciated.
