I have tried expanding the area on one line just by 6 or 12 inches but i have yet to be successful….It usually asks me to keep one section or the other. Is there a trick to increasing the mow area by one deck width?
Have you followed the steps in this video?
Hi there,
It looks like the system is interpreting your edits as splitting the area, which is why it keeps asking you to keep one section or the other. The new route you’re adding may be crossing into the existing area instead of expanding it by one deck width.
Thank you. Do you think I’m Trying to add too small of a section to the area?
It’s along my driveway, I mapped it out to cover the whole thing and have boundary cutting at the lowest setting but it leaves a small row of uncut grass.
Hi there,
As Bryan mentioned, could you please check if the Reduce Boundary setting is set to zero? After the recent update, setting it to zero should make the mower closely follow the boundary you mapped out.
I do have it set to zero. When mapping, it’s possible I didn’t get close enough. I don’t need to add much.
Do I go ahead and split it, take some off and then add it back on maybe?
The edit map can be tricky. I posted Yarbo’s video further up in the thread on how to do each of the three different methods. If the area is small enough or you don’t mind, you can just remap the area. The boundary line it draws is the center of the core in between the antennas. If you drop one of the tracks on the driveway, you’ll probably get it all when it runs. It does turn wide, so it will miss some in the turns. Alternatively, you could try a dead end to cleanup the missed line.
