GPS signal stability problems after the latest update

IFR…. “I follow roads”.

Go arounds with just a stopwatch and compass gets tricky with variable winds. Kind of like track slippage.

A GPS approach is WAY easier.

I hope the antennas work out for you.

I will toss some more info out in case anyone has an idea. (BTW - thank @ken.w.gregory for the signal find). So new antennas are apparently on the way in a few weeks. Just the same - what I do not understand is how you can go from one status to another in a few seconds (Great GPS sitting still on the charger) and three feet later as its moved from base I get waiting for GPS. It is 3 feet and nothing changed in the environment unless a death ray is right in front of this thing. The only thing that is changing is it is moving.

Based on your description, it’s difficult to determine the exact root cause of the GPS issue. Once you receive the new antennas, please let us know if the same problem continues. If it does, we’ll be happy to follow up and look into it further for you.

When I do this, I’ve already checked many times and it indicates that it sees plenty of satellites that are correct, and on several versions of the GPS system, but I don’t understand why it suddenly works when you restart it! I’ve already waited several hours and nothing happens. When you restart it, it only takes one to two minutes, and then the GPS is indicated as correct on the app and I can start the Yarbo ;-(

I agree there are some issues, but then explain to me why the GPS and RTK on my Mammotion still work, even though it doesn’t have a 360° view like the Yarbo ;-( The Yarbo has a 180° RTK view ;-( So explain the difference

This morning I had a pleasant surprise after several days of not using it: the Yarbo connected to the GPS in a few seconds and started up immediately! I don’t know if there’s been an update since then, but for today it worked perfectly on the first try without having to restart my RTK  Have you done any updates recently?

I’ve experienced this and don’t understand it as well.

Other robot mowers have an amplified and calibrated patch antenna and also they seek to be using DR a little more effectively from what I’m told.

3.11.0 is rolling out. Perhaps this helped your situation.

Another day with constant GPS issues but yesterday all ok. I took a picture over the core today…not sure you can get a better view of satellites

Happened to me today too. YARBO launched 2 feet and took a nap on (yellow) GPS signal.
I’m beginning to think yellow is really red. Still optimistic though.

@mike1 i’ve lost track, did you get the firmware update?

@gregdeux Yes, we’ve recently released a firmware update (v3.11.0) along with the latest app version (v3.16.3).

We’re glad to hear your Yarbo is running smoothly now!

Please feel free to reach out anytime if you have any further questions.

Any improvement to the GPS issues? Or is it too soon to tell?

@ken.w.gregory I have had the update for several days - exact same behavior.

I would say as soon as you get the update reboot the DC and the core. Then watch your work plan. I didn’t reboot after the update because assumed that was a “reboot” mine launched at 90° off the pad and crashed into a “NO GO”. Luckily it was the ditch and not the lake. The new update has performed well after a reboot after the update. Be ware.
Thanks @bryan.wheeler for the tip

Well crap. I had hopes the update would help eliminate the issue.

I still think the issue is hardware somewhere.

This is new. Any idea how to resolve this? Typical reboot everything didn’t help
