As soon as I get home I’ll try ntrip and remap everything… I’m curious to see how it goes
I think it was a one time change. After setting it back to checkerboard it has been fine.
As for NetRTK. Just a heads up that for kick starter backers it’s free, otherwise it’s a 3 month free trial. You can switch back to DC at any time but youlll have to correct for map drift. You won’t need to remap if you switch to nRTK, same process. Correct for map drift after. Remap is only necessary if it doesn’t align correctly or you want to.
Changing the settings back to Checkboard has been sticking for me.
Ok What do you mean by Kickstarter backers?how much?
Was parallel set to 90 degree pattern rotation?
This message kind of makes it sound like “checkerboard” is a faux pattern. It is really parallel with 90 degrees of rotation. Which is really what it is.
So if it “reverted” to parallel and it was set to 90 degrees it’s likely the UI missed the conversion to checkerboard.
That’s my theory anyway.
I agree
Makes sense. Mine were all set to Parallel 90 after the update.
Received my update this morning.
Will try to find some dry grass somewhere in the yard to do some testing.
if you bought yarbo on Kickstarter or on yarbo’s website. if you bought it on kickstarter it’s free.
No ![]()
I also bought it on yarbo.com. and had planned to use ntrip. maybe not now.
What @Kolbe said. We don’t know how much yet, they haven’t announced that. This free period may be a trial run to feel that out and see what they want to do.
It was set to that and I am sure that is related somehow. Still should not change any users settings without warning. Either in release notes or in app (ideally not change at all, but in app is preferred).
I’m mowing with ntrip and at the moment no gps flutter…it seems to be working fine
I switched mine to ntrip this morning. Looks like I’ll need to do a map drift adjustment cause the map is a bit off.
I’m playing it safe or remapped
Yes, this is required when switching back and forth.
Our NetRTK in Germany /Europe is a public service with a one time setup fee (50 Euro) - was under the impression we could use this. Think it was somewhere in the anouncenents that public services could be used. Rather than subscription . but could be wrong .. also says public netRtk in the german app
My understanding is that they went with a couple of worldwide commercial providers so they would have an SLA and could guarantee service. Many public stations, especially free ones do not have a guarantee to be online at all times. Can’t speak to the German services, maybe they are. But I believe worldwide they intend on using their partners and not opening this up for any user definable or selectable NTRIP servers.
Ohio provides one as well. Should be able to use it in my opinion. It is something my tax dollars already to towards anyway. Just saying.
