Hotfix Update: Firmware V3.13.1 & App V3.18.2

You won’t get any argument from me. But I can understand their need to keep the experience managed, reliable, and predictable. Any third party they don’t have contracts with and the unit goes into the drink or something, how do you prove it was the GPS or something else?

Would like the pathway offset also for the SAM module.

Could @Yarbo-Forum confirm?
I had an impression that SAM will also follow the path offset settings.

Or is it only for Mower ?

Hi there, thanks for checking on this.

At the moment, the Path Offset feature applies to the Lawn Mower and Lawn Mower Pro only, and is not supported for the SAM module.

Has anyone actually switched to NRTK yet? If so, did a simple drift correction work, or is a total remapping a reality? Also, is this a better option for dense foliage and loss of GPS signal. I do rely on PPVP for the unit to operate correctly with the local DC (RTK).

I dont think NTRK will help with GPS blind spots. As I understand it, the core still needs GPS to function properly.

I have created my Ohio NRTK account. Just need Yarbo to let me enter my credentials.

Yes, I’ve been actually using it for a really long time as a tester. The drift correction works perfectly switching back and forth. Key is to make sure your Yarbo is perfectly aligned on the dock between the two yellow lines on the sides and the rear metal bumper lines up with the yellow line on the back.

Will it help you operate better in dense foliage. Well, that depends. If your DC is properly mounted with absolutely zero obstructions near it and a 120 degree clear view of the sky, then no, it won’t help. If your DC is obstructed, even slightly, then it could help. The reason for this is because the public DC will have more satellites in view than your obstructed DC. So this increases the possibility that the rover (core) will get one or two satellites extra and that might be all that you need to keep good signal. The outlier here is it still has to be a signal of good quality. Otherwise, if quality is below 0.5, it will still switch to PPVS.

You can always try it out and see if it makes an improvement for you. Just keep in mind that unless you are a Y or M series kickstarter backer, it will be a paid subscription at some point in the near future. Right now its free to try out for up to 3 months.

I’m using it and the drift button works too

Thank you all! :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m waiting for the netRTK Santa to deliver my firmware present. I have a farm property 19 miles away that needs mowing really bad with my new pro mower deck!

Really love the perimeter around no go. Huge difference.

I have switched to NRTK to try it. I lost all my maps, had the option to save them, but could not reloads them after saving. Gave me no option to correct map drift. I remapped and all went well, but I still have the DC powered and the unit is using HALOW yet. Is it using it for the internet connection and getting the correction data from NRTK? Is this ok, or do I need to use the 4G cell connection for it to work properly? It didn’t ask me to make an account or anything, is that normal?

Did you click relocate on NetRTK after switching? Your maps should not have been wiped unless you did. Yes, it is still using HaLow for Internet. I would continue to use that and you can enable cellular for backup. Yes, it’s normal to not ask to create an account. Right now it’s just a togglable service. At some point there may be a payment process.

I may have hit relocate accidentally. Just a hassle to remap, but done now and all is well. So far, it actually seems a little better. Hard to tell yet. Thanks!

On my schedules, if I run a two day schedule to complete 3 acres, if I have the unit come back at a certain time at night and want it to continue the next day with the same schedule, do I i set it to resume where left off or will it do that anyway? I want it to start from beginning the next week, or full two day schedule.

I saw a FB post today where someone said they have a 2 day job that is doing exactly this. Going back at set time and completing the next day. I am not sure how they set this up. It was not an advertised feature in the release notes.

Ok. I really cant find anything on it. I’ll just try with resume where left off. It should just start from beginning the next week…hopefully :folded_hands: LOL

After switching to NetRTK, you can use map drift correction to realign your existing map—there’s generally no need to fully remap.

As Bryan mentioned, whether NetRTK performs better really depends on your specific environment. In areas with dense foliage or weaker GPS conditions, it may help, but results can vary. I’d recommend giving it a try and seeing if it improves performance in your setup.

Why can’t I get 4g to work anymore ? Is it because my app updated and my core didn’t yet?
