We set ultrasonic detection to be disabled by default because we received a number of reports regarding false obstacle detections.
I’m not able to provide an exact timeline for the improvements yet, but optimizing ultrasonic detection performance is definitely an area we plan to improve in the future.
For now, this change is intended to help more users have a smoother experience.
I’ve checked your ticket regarding this NGZ intrusion issue, and I’m sorry that we are currently unable to retrieve the logs for further investigation.
If this happens again, please update ticket #240661 with the details, and our team will continue to follow up and investigate.
I received the firmware update announcement on my app. I was about to send Yarbo out for a job and when it popped up I was pressing something else at the same time. Then I got a notification that if I don’t do it now I won’t get another update. I went to click check to mean I understand but I guess I should have pressed x cause the option has disappeared.
How can I manually tell it to update to the newest version of firmware?
If you canceled the update you now need to open a ticket with Yarbo so they can push the firmware to you. There is no way currently to manually do it yourself.
Agreed. I think that there R and D team need to validate the fix’s and the effects of the fix. I have not gotten the hot fix yet so waiting g to see what happens next. I also just bought another system. Love the unit just need the operating system to be more refined
Yarbo has made significant progress on iterating & improving the system’s hardware. While still not perfect, I would say the hardware is very robust and durable overall.
The Achilles heel at this point is the software. My expectation is that the software will eventually get to where it needs to be. Hopefully via a Yarbo OS 2.0 redesign.
Hardware is pretty tuff, except one item and that is track drive sproket slop and wear, they need to upgrade something there.
Software yes, there needs to be a whole new try at this. This old thing is clunky and has way too many patches, I think they put patches on the patches at this point. It just seems at this point they keep trying to plug the holes but the holes keep multiplying any way.
During today (21st Sept.) my Yarbo started showing MQTT Server: Disconnected. was working fine then dropped connection, also new firmware upgraded to 3.14.20 and I notice that “legacy MQTT Servers retired” as one of the topics.
