House for Yarbo

House for Yarbo :hut::cowboy_hat_face:

After looking at different garage designs, I decided to build one myself. My goal was to keep Yarbo protected from direct sun, rain and snow while maintaining good ventilation and easy access to the charging dock.

The roof is strong enough to handle weather conditions, the entrance is wide for reliable docking, and the overall design blends well with the house and garden.

So far I’m very happy with the result. Hopefully it will help extend Yarbo’s lifespan and keep it looking like new for years.

What do you think? Any ideas or improvements? I’d be happy to hear your feedback.

Nice little home for Yarbo. Curious what material you used for the roof? Some type of plastic?

Love it! Add some solar panels to the roof! Are you a carpenter?

I’ve seen my module do a 180 degree spin on the charging station. Do you have 6 inches of clearance around the side edges ?

Nice house. Looks great! Have you seen any issues with poor GPS connection when it’s docked?

Hi! No issues at all. The GPS signal is strong (green indicator).

Hi! The roof is made of wood and covered with a rigid UV-stabilized plastic sheet, which I believe is polypropylene.

Hi! Amateur carpenter

Nice one.
But how will you mow grass inside the Yarbo shelter and closely around the walls of the shelter?

Absolutely beautiful and very impressive! Are there any drawings or dimensions for the house? Perhaps you’d be willing to share them with other Yarbo friends who also need a house for our beautiful workhorse. I’m sure many would really appreciate it.

The only possible issue might be that it’s a bit tight if you install the trimmer… it could hit the sides when turning.

That’s been my dilemma in designing a house for my Yarbo.

When Yarbo is almost on the dock and needs to turn left or right to center itself, the trimmer swings pretty wide.

You need to make a pen large enough to allow it to rotate with the trimmer. I went for an expandable dog camping-style pen and did some tests.

Hi! Please find the attached measurements. This project was completed without drawings, so only on-site measurements are available. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
