Are you looking for the perfect mowing route for your lawn? Configuring the ideal mowing pattern and route can significantly improve both the efficiency and appearance of your lawn care. Below are detailed instructions on route-related settings found on the area settings page of your Yarbo system to help you fine-tune your mowing experience.

Parallel (Bow Pattern) - Default
A simple and efficient pattern where the mower moves in parallel lines. This is the default route pattern.

Spiral
A pattern that follows an automated spiral route based on the algorithm （so the sequence of whether it starts from outer to the center or from center to the outer may vary), ensuring a smooth and consistent mowing experience.
- Checkboard
This pattern rotates the mowing route by 90° with each schedule, creating a checkboard-like effect for a neat and organized lawn.

- Diamond
Similar to Checkboard, but the route rotates 60° with each schedule, offering a different approach to lawn mowing.

Purpose: This setting helps prevent the formation of fixed mowing tracks that can negatively impact grass growth and the overall appearance of your lawn. By rotating the mowing route, it ensures the grass grows more evenly and avoids wear from repetitive movement in the same direction.

Available For: The parallel route pattern. Other patterns, such as Checkboard, Spiral, and Diamond, already incorporate automatic rotation (90° for Checkboard, 60° for Diamond, and no rotation for Spiral).

Adjustment: By setting a specific rotation degree (0-170), the mower will automatically adjust the route direction during each mowing schedule, contributing to healthier grass growth and a more visually appealing lawn.
When set the route rotation degree to 30°, the route will rotate before each schedule, shown in the following pictures.

Range: 10-170 degrees (Default: 10 degrees)

Explanation: This setting allows you to manually adjust the angle of the mowing path to match your preferences. By setting a fixed angle, you ensure that the mowing direction aligns with your desired lawn design and overall aesthetic.

Adjustments: Each time you modify the angle, the change will be shown in preview mode, enabling you to visualize the adjustments before applying them to your mowing session.

Zigzag First The mower starts with the internal area, finishing with the perimeter.

Perimeter First The mower begins by mowing the perimeter, followed by the internal area.

Options: 0, 4 inches (default), 8 inches

Explanation: A smaller overlap value increases mowing efficiency but may leave some areas uncut. Conversely, a larger overlap minimizes the risk of missed spots, though it may take more time to complete the job. Choose the overlap setting that best suits your priorities, whether it’s maximizing efficiency or ensuring a more thorough mow.
