Good news! It’s been almost a month, but my Yarbo is finally back online and tending to my yard again!
The saga started on May 27, the day I received my trimmer. After excitedly unboxing the trimmer, I went out to give it a try. It ran and I was impressed… for around an hour. Then it abruptly stopped working. Yarbo support said the power board in my Yarbo died, but the trimmer was fine.
To make a long story short, I finally received my replacement Yarbo, and it’s up and running. Hurray!!
Unfortunately when I went to try the trimmer, it still doesn’t work. Now Yarbo support says I need a new trimmer. Oh well. At least my Yarbo is back in action.
Thanks. And yea, it’s crazy that the trimmer literally only worked for about an hour, killed my Yarbo, and a month later, I still don’t have a working trimmer.
On the bright side, Support sent me a brand new Yarbo versus a refurb. That was appreciated. And the new Yarbo’s drivetrain is much quieter than my original one.
I have only used my trimmer a few times as I am afraid my core will smoke. Last week I did all the trimming by hand, my wife got a laugh how I spent money and still have to do the work myself…
It has been 5 days since I sent yarbo their requested diagnostic recording of the trimmer running the memory path in reverse, still no update.
They shipped my replacement tracks very fast, I was surprised when they showed up today.
My replacement Pro mower was shipped today so that was pretty fast to since it has only been a few days since they told me they were going to replace it. But the total ticket time is well over a month, lol.
It seems that despite successfully restoring my maps into my new replacement Yarbo, and correcting map drift, it appears that my maps are slightly askew as compared to reality.
Yarbo is able to get to the dock without a problem, but everything else is ‘off’ by about a foot or so. All no go zones, boundaries, etc are all slightly shifted. Which seems to mean that I’ll have to remap everything from scratch.
I’ll mess with it again tomorrow. But for now, it’s looking like a ton of remapping is in my future.
