Trimmer fried my Yarbo

Hi, a quick post to vent my frustration since it’s been a week and I am still waiting to hear back a prompt solution to my ticket.

Received my trimmer after waiting for it for almost a year, installed it & when I clicked turn on, the core started to smoke, yep it fried something… now I have no core, probably no trimmer too as it is probably detective, I have never used that port.

Also the tech support used to be better, since I did not receive any reply after some days, I had to call, the 20 m conversation was about me proving when I purchased my Yarbo (it is still under warranty, they should have this info why does the client needs to prove it?) I am still waiting.

Anyone else?

Hello. Sorry to hear of the frustrating first impression of the trimmer.

Unfortunately you aren’t the only one suffering from a variation of this issue.

The short and sweet of it is that the power board in your core died. You’ll be getting a replacement core as a result. Unless Yarbo Support says otherwise, your trimmer should be fine.

I am also awaiting a replacement core for the same issue.

From what we know, this issue is isolated to earlier 2024 Yarbo cores. Newer cores shouldn’t exhibit this issue.

I confirm I have the 2025 and everything is ok

2024 used it a handful of times but I stand back every time I restart it.

So as long as they were developing the trimmer they had to have known this was an issue. Are they hoping the early models all make it out of standard warranty period so it is the extended plans issue?

If you didn’t have an issue immediately, I doubt you will. My 24 has had the trimmer for a year and lots of restarts. No issues here.

Knock on wood!!

I got a warranty and the extended warranty. If it breaks, Yarbo will take care of it. I’m not too worried.
