I'm so ready to throw this thing in the garbage :( I just want it to work!

Here we go again, Still haven’t made it a solid week with a working unit :frowning:

Yarbo has been sitting unused since last week…Today when I tried to start a work plan I got a “Yarbo has rolled over or tilted, Manually resume if no exceptions occur” or something like this. I manually drove the core off the dock and moved it around for a little bit, but still receieved the same error when trying to re-start a work plan. After restarting the system and waiting atleast an hour, now the GPS icon is orange and it won’t start a plan due to bad GPS signal. The diag page shows different #s compared to the GPS problems I had for the past few weeks. The #s seem ok, except for quality is showing =0.0. DC RTK Details are all abover 40.

I let the Yarbo sit until after work, and now the GPS has finally gone back to green, but I am still getting the “rolled over” error. How do I go about fixing this latest issue?? I’m headed out now to try a few things.

Disable “rollover” and “lift” detections in work preferences.

Your core needs a bumper sticker.

Thanks boss :+1: There’s only one spot on my property that a “roll over” could possibly occur, and my boundaries are quite far from that area, so I’m fine with disabling these functions… Famous last words lol

I’d definitely get a ticket submitted on that error, though. If it’s just sitting there docked, it shouldn’t do that.

I disabled the Roll over and Tilt detection… It allowed me to start a work plan, but now it just keeps doing a weird zero turn manuever near the dock then just sits there until it gives the error “Yarbo hasn’t moved 1 meter bla bla bla” Uhhhhggg, so ready to drop kick this thing across the yard.

I’ve got green GPS icon, but I’m noticing the Quality is still 0.0

Quality will be zero with PPVS disabled. Is it in a plan when it’s sitting there? Maybe try toggling on PPVS again and see if you still have GPS and it behaves differently.

PPVS is enabled when it reads 0.0 It seems to read 0.0 at all times, no matter if in a plan or not :man_shrugging:

Hi there! Please submit a support ticket regarding this issue. Our support team will investigate it further and work with you to identify the cause and help resolve it.

Support contacted me about these problems. Apparently it was caused by a problem with a recent firmware update and they had remotely fixed the problem on my device. They also said to expect another firmware update to occur soon, and even though they don’t anticipate the problem to reappear, I should contact them immediately if it does. After this next firmware update, they anticipate a much longer interval to the next firmware update.

The diag #s all look proper now, Quality is .915. Initially after the “fix”, I had Map drift error that wouldn’t go away, but now it seems to be fixed. Fingers crossed

Wow. That was quite an ordeal.

Sorry to see you had such challenges with your Yarbo, but hopefully Support has finally resolved the root cause, and things will be smooth from this point forward.

If you get a map drift error but it’s not showing off the dock in the map view, just reboot.

It’s been super frustrating. I’ve never wanted a piece of tech to work so much in my life. I absolutely love this thing when it works proper, it’s so cool, but it’s been endless issues for me since the original purchase back in Dec 2025. Hopefully it keeps working this time :crossed_fingers: I’m thinking about having a celebration party as soon as I get more than 7 consecutive days without a problem LMAO

I’m very curious to see if my recent GPS issues were also caused by the firmware update… Maybe all 3x sets of RTK antennas weren’t actually bad. Though I don’t want to press my luck by testing the old antennas when the unit is now working :stuck_out_tongue: LEAVE IT ALONE JOHN, DON’T TOUCH IT!! lolol

Each time I’ve had the Map drift error, it’s usually been “shortly” after swapping antennas etc, and it shows the Core slightly off the dock in the map view, but I’ll try to pay attention for this if it happens again.

Sidenote: When I had map drift error before PPVS was added, the Core was’t able to park properly on the dock for recharging. Now with PPVS enabled, it was able to park just fine even though the map showed it “out of position”. I assume this is because the cameras allow it to see the dock enough to park? Pretty cool to see if that’s the case.

I would definitely note the times if its charging on the dock, has green GPS, RTK status of 4, shows off the dock, and has a map drift error and get a ticket in for it next time. Try a reboot first and see if it clears. If it doesn’t clear, correct for map drift.

I completely agree with you. I used my Yarbo as a snowblower 1 year late because the core caught fire internally due to a bad wiring and almost ignited my house. And Yarbo destroyed everything in its path outside boundaries when its mowing. A table, part of a tree, some artworks which were all strict in blocked zones more than 30 inches away. Because it was turning in a special way and climbing obstacles with brute force. It always loses gps contact under open sky every two minutes. then it started to go in circles and after a software update it worked again magically after 4 weeks - so half the summer again no Yarbo work. It’s impossible to let Yarbo do a job without standing within a few yards to interfere when something happens.

If we hadn’t a long path in winter I’d had towed it away by another Yarbo to the backside of the moon. Thus humanity would be saved from 2 Yarbos.
