Have an impeller kit but apprehensive to try to install. Any thoughts on how turbo mode compares to the kit? I hate having to go into settings every time and it feels so loud vs what it’s blowing when I clear snow with turbo. (Like 1 inch of slush for all that noise). I have a plow blade as well, but as others have noted in the last, swapping it sometimes isn’t worth the effort.
I know I recall last year someone doing an impeller kit install, but has anyone else taken it on?
I’ve seen a few post about this. Mostly on FB. If you are in warranty, I wouldn’t attempt it. I still doubt that it won’t compromise the integrity of the impeller itself. The metal isn’t very thick. But supposedly it does make a world of difference. Personally, I’d like to see Yarbo come up with a rubber insert that we could optionally purchase and install ourselves.
Yeah, it’s not like the mower, where if you put blades on it…and it dies, you can (albeit shouldn’t) put the razors back on and play none the wiser.
Impeller kits require significant permanent modifications.
Figured. Wish there was a quick toggle to turbo mode that could be swapped on the fly when snow blowing.
As Bryan mentioned, we don’t recommend making this modification, as it may affect your warranty. Thank you and @bryan.wheeler for sharing your feedback and suggestions!
