Could I trim along both sides of 800’ of cedar split-rail fence with this? E.g. something like this - fence
The trimmer would need enough reach just ‘under’ the fence from both sides, with the base until passing by the posts. Does it mow and trim at the same time? Or does it mow and trim in separate passes?
I don’t see why it couldn’t do it, in theory. Yarbo would have to confirm this and if it can mow and trim simultaneously. The hope would be that it could and will do so during the first perimeter cut.
thanks; one thing I’m slightly worried about is the fence wouldn’t be the ‘perimeter’ in my case, it would be down the ‘center’ of a long work area. Total of a couple of ~100` fence sections and a couple of 300’ fence sections. Or maybe it would be 8 long work areas with the fence on one side of each.
I surmised it is going to work very much like the snow blower and you drag a trim line across the perimeter and other boundaries like NGZ’s. They confirmed this to another users question. I don’t know if they will expand the trim feature to random parts of a work area. You could potentially NGZ the fence lines and put a trim edge there (I would assume).
Yes, with the trimmer attached to the lawn mower, it is capable of mowing and trimming at the same time.
Regarding trimming under the fence: you can set the fence area as a no-go zone, and the mower will trim along the edge of that zone based on the current design.
We’ll also be sending you updates on the trimmer every two weeks via email to keep you informed.
@Yarbo-Forum is this confirmation that trimmer will trim no go zones as well? I believe, during the announcement, co-founder Ken said it was not currently supported, and that only the perimeter would be trimmed
After checking with our product team, trimming along no-go zones is indeed one of the features we’re actively exploring and plan to introduce in the future.
