My Yarbo has worked flawless at times, but lately its like someone drew a line around my yard, and I lose GPS at certain locations. It’s very repeatable and very wide open. I can drive it to the location it will lose GPS day after day. Have tried different times of day. It has mowed here previously with no issue.
I have restarted it multiple times. Left the battery unhooked for days, power cycled the DC, tried multiple antennas.
Frustrating that it works flawless on the majority of my yard, around the house, under the trees, but no go on the wide open. Doesn’t appear to be a loss of connection to the DC?
This looks to me like a loss of HaLow. Do you have any screenshots of the HaLow section where the core is when this happens? You have to scroll down. I see cellular is enabled. What is your data usage at right now? Perhaps you hit the data cap and that’s why it has stopped working, as it was failing over before but now can’t.
Hi there, really sorry to hear about the issue. I’ve checked your ticket #243119 and asked our team to follow up and run the necessary tests as soon as possible.
We appreciate your patience while we work on identifying the cause and getting this resolved for you.
I believe there was a bug introduced with the last update. My rover has been dropping GPS as well since the last update. It will not correct itself no matter how close I drive it to the base antenna. I have to power cycle the rover, then it’s fine for a while. I was wondering if others were having the same issue and it appears it’s not just me.
Mine was doing this two fromware updates ago. I check the antenna to ensure that they were tight and reinstalled. Haven’t had an issue since then not sure if it backed off or there was a little bit of a jiggle in the cable Yarbo sent me a new antenna cable. It was installed and I didn’t have any more issues.. Not sure this helps but sounds similar to what I was having an issue with
Hi there, could you please submit a support ticket regarding this issue?
At this time, we haven’t identified any confirmed connection between the GPS loss issue and the latest update. We’d like to investigate your specific case further to determine the root cause.
Once the ticket is submitted, our team can review the relevant logs and follow up with you.
Thanks for submitting ticket #246467. We need your confirmation before we can proceed with the next step, so please reply to the support ticket when you’re available. Once we hear back from you, we’ll be able to continue assisting you further.
I’ve never used Halow. My starlink failed and I haven’t got the replacement set up yet to get proper internet to my DC. I’ve using 4g all along. But a lack of Halow connection is failed connection between the DC and the rover causing no RTK? It appears my Halow connection is false
Doesn’t appear you are using NetRTK. If HaLow is currently FALSE, then that is why you aren’t working. The DC doesn’t have to have internet for the core to use it. It will run in offline mode that way and the rover will use 4G or WiFi for the app communications. The core and DC talk directly to each other for the correction data in that situation. But, you don’t have any failover in the even that HaLow drops. With internet connected to the DC, the core can use 4G or WiFi to get to the internet to Yarbo’s servers along with the DC and they can communicate that way. I would try switching to NetRTK. This will consume more 4G cellular data, so you’ll need to keep an eye on it, but it should continue to work across your property in those HaLow dead zones. You won’t need the DC at this point. But a working internet connection to it would help reduce the 4G data that is used. If you switch to NetRTK, make sure you are on the docking station charging and you correct for map drift directly after switching. Save your maps first too just in case you accidentally tap relocate yard or the maps get deleted during the switch. You will be able to restore them from the cloud backup.
