At some point in the past week or two, my Yarbo has stopped receiving any GPS signals whatsoever no matter its location. I have tried restarting it multiple times as well as the RTK Data Center. No changes have been made to my setup since it last worked. My RTK data center is showing plenty of strong satellite signals and my Yarbo is connected to the HaLow network, but the rover shows zero satellite signals and the GPS signal icon in the app is grayed out. It will occasionally show a yellow line spinning in a circle around the icon as if trying to reinitialize the GPS, but it just remains “disconnected” as seen when long pressing the grayed out GPS icon in the app. Sometimes when restarting the Yarbo, it will say 2 or 3 next to “satellites”, but it will still say “disconnected” and normally just says 0.
I have run out of ideas trying to get this thing to get GPS signals and now my grass is getting pretty long. I have never run into this issue in the past two years. This thing is too expensive to allow for this kind of issue. Tech support has yet to respond and I’m sure they are just going to ask me to do all the things I have already tried and then try to blame the location or something despite having worked relatively well fpe the past two years up until the past week or two.
I have attached screenshots of the diagnosis page and the GPS icon info:
Here is a screenshot of the RTK satellites:
Have you tried swapping antennas around on the core? Check the connections inside the core to the mount and use the 2 wrenches they provide in the toolkit to get them snug. Afterwards check and see if your L2 or total satellites change.
Absolutely check for the antenna swap and check that the antennas are tight. You might also check the mounts and how much of the SMA threaded connector is above the surface of the mount. I had an issue with my low mounts where the SMA connector had not been assembled correctly and didn’t stick out far enough to make reliable connection. I’m having the same exact issue, out of nowhere. Worked perfectly when last parked a few days ago
Looks like more people are beginning to have the same issue; still waiting for a response.
I started experiencing the same GPS signal issue, something I’ve never encountered last season on the spots that never had issues. It appears the antenna seal has failed and the top shell came off while twisting the Antenna for tight seal. Upon closer inspection, I noticed rust has formed inside the antenna. As @bryan.wheeler mentioned, it seems there may have been a bad batch of antennas manufactured with defective seals. See my original post here with pictures. see my post here https://forum.yarbo.com/t/outdoor-rated-my-yarbo-antenna-corroded-failed-and-bad-rtk-performance/6489/3
Sorry for the delayed response. I’ve asked the team to review your case as soon as possible.
