Is there someone making these for ordering? Seems like some folks were testing but I wouldn’t mind a set or 2

I can make you some but all I can say is they work better than the yarbo discs at mulching and the deck stays cleaner. Not as good as a my riding mower. No guarantee and no warranty. They are experimental.

Thanks Dave for these blades. I tested them out and it is a perfect fir. I love the mulching part, that was bothering me with the original blades. And the seem very sturdy. I will leave them on all summer. Cheers

I think the next experiment will be to see if I can anneal the plastic. ( Heat to 200 F, 90C post print ) It may increase the strength by 30%.

It may also shrink the print, so it has to printed a about 4% bigger.

Any reports of it breaking?

I’ve been using mine for most of last season and the beginning of this one. I have not been preclearing sticks or other debris.

I noticed that cracks were starting around the outer bolt holes. I attribute them to the bolt/nut/blade movement during hard strikes. I think the addition of a second nut or a heat inserted threaded fastener, will strengthen the area.

Adding annealing should help as well.

Warming the oven up now. Much to my wife’s, unwarranted chagrin. :wink:

It is dirty because it is last year’s.

60-90 minutes at 200 F. Then let it cool slowly.

It’s like tempering glass or metal. It changes the plastics crystalline structure. :wink:

What material did you use to print them and what infill pattern was used? How many walls?

PETG. 100% infill. I am experimenting with annealing now.

10 hours at 0.2 MM layer height. With a 0.4mm nozzle.

What printer are you using?

Prusa MK 3+. I’ve had it for several years. Very reliable but expensive.
