It’s often very quiet here in the New Hampshire woods.
The sound of the Yarbo mowing can be quite invasive.
(in fact it’s lost me some potential sales - Ecomow.us is a Yarbo distributor)
The wheel drive gearboxes obviously uses straight cut gears.
Double helical gears would eliminate the noise.
I understand that they are more expensive to make,
but from the manufacturing videos, Yarbo has tons of CNC capability.
Is there a silent gearbox in the works??

They have changed something in the drive gears to reduce the noise. One of mine is much quieter than the first ones they delivered. As in much quieter.

Same - I have one of the early batch units and one from many production runs later. The newer one is significantly quieter.

@bryan.wheeler - Do you know if gearboxes are sealed, permanent lubrication. I didn’t see anything about any maintenance to them.

AFAIK they are sealed and no maintenance is required.
