My Yarbo Core makes knocking noises. Does anyone here have experience with similar noises, I think it is a broken wheel bearing.
After using the lawnmower module for the first time this year, I noticed a knocking noise. At first I thought the rubber of the right drive would make the noise but it’s coming from the right front drive wheel/axle. After sending the video along with a ticket to Yarbo Support, I received an email asking for a closer examination of the core. It also included a link to a video showing how to change the entire right drive unit. I followed all the tips and finally followed this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78bEWqKmkxY) instructions and it turned out that the drive wheel is very loose, I think it could be a broken bearing. I have forwarded my findings to support. I’ve been told that they told me to: …escalating your issue to our FSE team, who will further look into the matter and update you accordingly… That was 2 days ago. Since then, I’ve mowed my 4,000 square meters twice with a small electric hand-held lawnmower. It takes a few miles to walk. It’s quite funny when you get at the same Day Yarbo-advertising emails with the subject line: “Wave Goodbye to Yard Work Stress.” I hope to get a response to my ticket ##200538**##** soon. And I also hope that I can put the core back together. Taking it apart is one thing…
I have same on my unit. It has only been used for less than 2 hours with the blower module that is so noisy I didn’t notice it until I mounted the mower module 2 days ago. Then I got an error on the power board (B009) and the module is not discovered. Put in a ticket on the B009 and waiting for help… Nothing so far. Guess I need to raise another one for the knocking sound
I do belive the sound you are hearing its the drive teeth on the drive wheel engaging with the track drive teeth.
Check the track tension. I haven’t been able to find what it should be, but make sure its not overly tight, make sure the tracks have lubricant on them. Super Lube silicon based grease is recommended.
the core is freshly coated with silicone grease. If the track was too tense, you would have to hear something from the other side. I once had too little tension on one side. One track came loose and Yarbo got stuck. I think it’s more likely that the bearing is damaged. In the picture you can see the outer bearing sleeve, it doesn’t look very fresh either… and the drive wheel is very loose
After support sent me the link to the video where you see an entire drive unit being replaced, I don’t dare disassemble Yarbo any further before I hear something from support… did Yarbo provide and pay you for these replacement parts?
I’ve checked your ticket in our system, and I can confirm that it has been escalated to our FSE team for further investigation.
Our team will carefully review the issue and work to determine the root cause before providing the appropriate solution. We kindly ask for your patience while the investigation is ongoing, as we want to make sure we fully understand the issue before drawing any conclusions.
Thank you for your understanding, and we’ll keep you updated as soon as we have more information.
Did you disconnect any wiring from the track motors? Look at the vertical board inside the core and make sure everything is connected. If you disconnected any of that wiring, it may be backwards.
it was one of them, the J20(?). I guess I pulled it out while attaching the cable ties. The small safety hook broke off. They are probably very sensitive … I hope it doesn’t slip out but actually the cables are stuck. And the knocking sound is gone.
