I have a few mapping suggestions that I don’t know have already been submitted.

  1. For complicated areas to mow have the ability to “trace” an area exactly how you wanted to mow. I have a few complicated areas in my yard that I set up dead ends for but it is veryi nefficient. Whenever you set up multiple dead ends next to each other, it wants to go in and then trace itself back, Stop the blades, make a whole bunch of turns, Start the blades, make a whole bunch of turns And start mowing the dead end that was right next to the last one. I would rather map out the complicated area manually and have yarbo memorize it and repeat it in the mowing plan.

  2. It would be nice to have a trailer map option customizable for trailers specifically. Like dethatching for example, I haven’t seen anything that looks like you could use yarbo autonomously for this. Could you have a trailer map and have options like turn off blades, customizable spacing to prevent too much overlap like say you want it to make passes 2 feet apart, have an option to disable the ability to back up to prevent jackknifing. Or also if you are using a leaf collector have it stop after a customizable amount of feet so it doesn’t overfill. And after it stops have an in app promt for you to send it to a predetermined dump site and then a promt for you to send it back to work after you have dumped it.

  3. I also would be interested in an automatic gate designed for yarbo to pass through. I know Husqvarna has already made one compatible with their automower.

All of these are frequent asks. 2 and 3 have at least been acknowledged that they may implement them at some point in the future. Hopefully they still might be on the list. Waypoints and tow mode is coming soon hopefully as well.

For the first point, we hear you on wanting a route macro feature that lets Yarbo follow a specific path you define, especially in more complex areas. This feature is already on our internal request list. However, we haven’t yet decided whether it will move forward into development. Your feedback definitely adds value to the discussion.

As for your second suggestion, it sounds like you’re referring to the upcoming tow mode. This mode is indeed in development, and we’ll be sharing more updates on its progress in the forum this Friday. The ideas you mentioned — like spacing adjustments and disabling reverse to avoid jackknifing— are very relevant, and we’ve considered those use cases. At this stage, though, tow mode will be specifically for the SAM module.

Regarding the automatic gate, thank you for bringing that up! We’ll be passing your suggestion on to our product team for further review.
